In Minnesota, a candidate for a real estate license must be 18 years of age, have a high school diploma or equivalent, and complete 90 hours of instruction before taking the state exam.
A Minnesota real estate license for a salesperson are issued by the Minnesota Department of Commerce. Steps for receiving your license are:
1. Complete 90 hours of required real estate pre-license education
2. Pass the state exam
3. Submit application to the Department of Commerce, including proof of completing education or credentials.
